Al-Obaidy: Saudi Arabia's Hosting of the B20 Business Group Strengthens the Role of the Private Sector

The Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers, Dr. Sami bin Abdullah Al-Obaidy considered that “the Kingdom’s hosting of the B20 business group participating in the G20 Summit Group, with the participation of the global business community in all member countries and all economic sectors are in line with the importance of the global private sector, and to emphasize its role and impact in the economic development inside and outside the Kingdom, in light of what the Kingdom is witnessing major economic transformation within the Kingdom's 2030 vision.

Al-Obaidy stressed that, “because we believe in the role of the Council of Saudi Chambers in bringing the point of view between the official and the investor, businessmen and businesswomen should take advantage of the golden opportunity to open important discussions with the business sector in the G20 countries, and strive to find solutions to the obstacles facing the business sector in all the fields, in order to create a qualitative shift in the institutional work of the business sector in general during the next stage, with the aim of keeping pace with the development plans that the G-20 countries aim to expand in local and high achievements and partnerships and investments in the areas of digital transformation, trade, investment, energy, sustainability, infrastructure, education and integrity, so as to make the Kingdom investment destination world leader, an investment environment that is attractive and stimulating promising sectors."
