The Number of Arrivals to Qatar Rose by 13 percent

The number of visitors to Qatar during the first ten months of this year rose to 1.7 million, registering a growth of 13% compared to the same period in 2018, according to a report issued by the Qatari Planning and Statistics Authority.

According to the report, Asian countries, including Oceania, ranked first in terms of visitors with 39 percent, with 656.5 thousand visitors, followed by the European continent with 31 percent and more than 513.9 thousand visitors. The number of visitors from the GCC countries to Doha during the first ten months of this year was about 183.9 thousand visitors, almost 11 percent of the total number of visitors to the country during that period.

Other Arab countries accounted for 7 percent of the total number of visitors, with about 119,000 visitors to Qatar, while the Americas accounted for 154,000 visitors, or 9 percent, and the African countries ranked last with a 2 percent share of the total visitors accounted for 36.5 thousand visitors.
