The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote the economic and trade cooperation and develop the common fields of business to serve wider scope of the trade relations between business owners and companies, within the scope of the enforced legislation and regulations in both countries. Under this agreement, the two parties will work within their capabilities and within the limits of their powers to conduct activities and events that serve the development of trade relations, strengthen the economic cooperation, and support the communication between businessmen and commercial establishments in both countries.

Mr. Sameer Nass, the Chairman of BCCI pointed out that "the Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations are growing stronger over the years, and the future of these relations will be brighter and more prosperous. This joint memorandum represents one of the mechanisms and channels through which we are working to develop the economic, trade and investment relations, and lead them to the optimum."

He also said: "despite the variations and changes and the increasing challenges, what binds the two brotherly countries is greater than the interests that usually govern the international relations. The factors of identity, origin, common history and geographical considerations have established a deep framework of constants in the Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations, thus, it is necessary to work on the development of these inter-relations in the presence of constants, and major promising opportunities that could be centered on the economy."
