Nouakchott Hosts the Saudi-Mauritanian Economic Forum

The Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, held a joint meeting of the Council of Saudi Chambers and the National Union of Mauritanian Employers. The meeting was attended by a number of Mauritanian ministers and the Kingdom's ambassador to Mauritania, Hazza Bin Zaban Bin Dawi Al-Mutairi, with the participation of businessmen from both countries.

"The forum is aimed at boosting the cooperation and trade & investment partnership, and opening new horizons for businessmen to raise the volume of trade exchange, and expanding the economic partnership between the two countries, in addition to exploiting the economic potential, the natural resources and the promising multiple investment opportunities on the Saudi & Mauritanian sides," said Dr. Sami Al Obaidy, the chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers.

On the sidelines of the forum, a joint cooperation agreement was signed between the Council of Saudi Chambers and the National Union of Mauritanian Employers to enhance the cooperation between the two sides.

In the same context, the Mauritanian Prime Minister Mohamed Ould Salem Ould Al-Bashir welcomed a delegation of Saudi business owners led by the President of the Council of Saudi Chambers, Dr. Sami Al Obaidy, where they discussed various areas of cooperation and partnership between the businessmen in both countries. The meeting also discussed the importance of the investment opportunities in Mauritania.
