A Massive Arab Economic Demonstration in the 'Arab Private Sector Forum,' Inaugurated by the Union of Arab Chambers

H.E. Mr. Saad Hariri, Lebanon’s Prime Minister, inaugurated this morning the "Arab Private Sector Forum", at the headquarters of the Union of Arab Chambers, in preparation for the fourth Arab Economic and Social Development Summit to be held on January 20 in Beirut. 

The opening ceremony attracted more than 400 participants from 24 Arab and foreign countries, led by Mr. Raed Khoury, Lebanon’s Minister of Economy and Trade, Mr. Riad Salame, Governor of Lebanon’s Central Bank, Dr. Kamal Hassan Ali, Assistant Secretary-General Head of Economic Affairs at the League of Arab States, Mr. Mohammed Choucair, President of the Federation of Lebanese Chambers, Mr. Mohamed Abdo Saeed, President of the Union of Arab Chambers and Mr. Raouf Abou Zaki, CEO of Al-Iktissad wal-Aamal.

The Forum also featured Michel Suleiman, Former President of Lebanon, and Fouad Siniora, former Prime Minister of Lebanon as well as a number of Lebanese and Arab Ministers, Lebanese Deputies, Ambassadors, Diplomats, Delegations from Arab Chambers and Joint Chambers, Arab Businessmen and Investors, and Representatives from International and Regional Organizations. The Forum was an initiative of the League of Arab States, the Union of Arab Chambers, the Federation of Lebanese Chambers and the Group “Al-Iktissad wal Aamal”.
