Agreement to Boost Economic Ties between Lebanon and China

The Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Lebanon (FCCIAL), Mohamed Choucair, and the Chairman of the Arab Chinese Cooperation and Development Association (ACCDA), Kassem Tofailli, signed an agreement to boost economic ties between Lebanon and China.
The agreement was signed between the two bodies to increase Lebanon's exports to China and benefit from the Silk Road Initiative programs and the exchange of expertise and information between companies in the two countries.
Mr. Choucair praised the work of the Association towards strengthening Arab and Lebanese economic relations with China, highlighting that “China is the first trading partner of Lebanon, and there are many promising opportunities that can be worked out in the future”, adding that “China is interested in Lebanon and is willing to invest in our Country."
Meanwhile, Kassem Tofailli praised Mr. Choucair’s words and his will to push their economic cooperation forward. He said his Association will follow up on commercial and economic matters that are of interest for Lebanon and China.
