Roni Trabelsi, Tunisia’s Tourism Minister, pointed out that "the tourism sector aspires to receive about 9 millions of tourists next year”, mentioning “It currently received 7.365 million until November 20, an increase of at least 17% compared to the same period in last year.”
Financial revenues increased by 46% and reached 3.5 billion Tunisian dinars. Tunisia is expected to close this year with an arrival of 7.746 millions of tourists, compared to the expected arrival of eight millions of tourists earlier this year.
Trabelsi pointed out that "this important growth in tourism is mainly due to the improved situation in terms of security in Tunisia," explaining that "the level of tourism indicators in most markets, such as the European market and the Maghreb countries, have reached important development levels."
