Qatar's Annual Inflation shrank by 0.25 percent

According to official data released by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics, annual inflation in Qatar shrank by 0.25 percent in October as compared to the same month last year but rose by 0.07% month-on-month from 108.35 in September.
According to the same source, inflation was standing at 108.43 points in October 2018, compared to 108.7 points in October 2017.
The annual decline is a result of a decline in prices in five categories, mainly in telecommunications by 11.31%, followed by entertainment at 5.15%, then housing, water and electricity by 2.97%, and food and beverages by 2.30%. In contrast, six other categories rose, most notably education by 9.73%, transport by 5.90%, health by 3.38% and clothing by 3.04%.
