President of UAC, Mohamad Abdo Saeed visits the Union’s Honorary President Adnan Kassar

Mohamad Abdo Saeed, President of the General Union of Yemeni Chambers of Commerce and Industry & the new president of the Union of Arab Chambers, accompanied by the Secretary General of the Union Dr. Khalid Hanafi and the Assistant Secretary General Shaheen Ali Shaheen, visited the Honorary President of the Lebanese Economic Authorities, Chairman of the “Fransabank Group” Adnan Kassar.
Mr. Kassar welcomed the new president of the Union and congratulated him on his assumption of the presidency of the Union of Arab Chambers, wishing him success in his new duties. Adding: "The Union, which I had the privilege of presiding over many sessions, is proud to have a prominent Yemeni economic figure in its presidency. I am sure that the next stage will witness a momentum in the activity of the Union, which has long been the umbrella for businessmen and the Arab private sector. "
He said: "I am fully prepared to provide full support to the new president and to cooperate with him on all issues that would facilitate his tasks, especially that we have common goals that serve the economy and business sector in the Arab world, especially under the exceptional circumstances and conditions we are going through and which demands the combining of all of the Arab efforts to overcome the difficulties and problems with minimal losses. "
Al-Kassar grieved the circumstances of some Arab countries are passing through, hoping that Yemen will emerge from its ordeal as soon as possible so that Yemen can regain its leading role in the Arab world. He notes: "the Yemeni people deserve better conditions, and we are sure that the war will end soon, and Yemen will witness a new phase of growth, progress, and prosperity."
For his part, President of the Union of Arab Chambers, Mohamad Abdo Saeed, thanked the President for his hospitality, stressing that "Al-Kassar is an Arab economic figure who played exceptional roles in serving the Arab economy, whether he was president of the Union of Arab Chambers and today as the Honorary President or even when he Chaired the International Chamber of Commerce ".
He said: "Mr. Adnan Kassar is a school that draws on its experiences and learns from its achievements. We had the privilege of meeting him today to put together a roadmap for cooperation in the coming stage. Especially as there are many events to be embraced by the Lebanese capital Beirut, in particular the Arab Private Sector Forum which will be held at the headquarters of UAC (Adnan Al Kassar Building for Arab Economy) In early January 2019, coinciding with the convening of the Arab Economic Summit with the participation of Arab leaders and presidents, and it is normal to consult with his Excellency on this issue and to inform him of the preparations made by the Union for the Forum, and take his advice to make this forum of an important success."
He concluded by saying: "we wish the president health and more success. We also wish Lebanon and its people more safety, stability, and prosperity, because Lebanon, despite all the conditions it has been through, will remain the vibrant lung of the Arab world."
