Rise in Jordan’s Domestic Revenues

Figures from the Jordanian Ministry of Finance showed that domestic revenues in 2018 rose by JOD 45.7 million, equivalent to a 1 percent rise, and accounted for JOD 4532.5 million against JOD 4486.8 million during the same period in 2017.
According to the Ministry, the rise in domestic revenues was due to a rise in tax revenues by about 29.9 million dinars, and a rise in non-tax revenues by about 15.8 million dinars. Foreign grants accounted for JOD 190.7 million in 2018 against JOD 158.8 million a year ago, registering an increase by JOD 31.9 million, or 20.1%.
Total expenditures accounted for nearly JOD 5505.5 million in 2018 against JOD 5294.1 million in 2017, recording an increase of JOD 211.4 million, or 4 percent equivalent.
