Khalifa al-Thani: Qatari-US economic relations are developing significantly

Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani praised the bilateral relations between Qatar and the United States of America, which have witnessed great developments in various fields, especially in economy and trade. He expressed both countries’ keenness to enhance economic cooperation and eliminate all obstacles facing joint and mutual investments, and to grant many facilities to attract investors.
Following the dinner held by the Qatari Ministry of Economy and Trade, in honor of the visit from the President of the American Chamber of Commerce and its accompanying delegation, H.E. Sheikh Khalifa made the following remark: "The private sector in both countries works towards supporting and strengthening these relations through joint cooperation”. He added that “Both Qatar Chamber and American Chamber of Commerce play an important role in enhancing the volume of trade exchanges between the two countries, which reached nearly 6 billion of dollars in 2017, as the United States is one of the most important trading partners of Qatar.”
He mentioned, "Qatar's investments in the United States have an estimated value worth 10 billions of dollars, ranging from sectors such as technology, media, entertainment, energy, and real estate."
