UAE Banks' Assets Rose to $756 billion

Total UAE banking assets rose by 0.9 percent from AED 2748.9 billion ($ 750 billion) at the end of June 2018 to 2774.5 billion dirhams ($ 756 billion) by the end of July 2018.
According to the UAE Central Bank, total bank deposits increased by AED10.6 billion as a result of AED 4.6 billion rise in resident deposits and AED 6 billion rise in non-resident deposits, while total bank credit increased by 0.04% from AED 1,622.3 billion at the end of June 2018 to AED 1,622.9 billion at the end of July 2018.
Profits from local and foreign public companies listed on Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Market rose by 0.57 percent in the first half of this year. The highest increase was recorded in the Insurance sector at 75.08 percent, followed by the financial services sector at 48.28 percent.
