New Oil Discovery in Egypt

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi discussed with the Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and a number of members of the government a plan to develop the oil sector in line with the announcement of the Italian company "Eni" for two new oil discoveries in the desert of western Egypt, where the discovery in the well located in the basin area near (West of Egypt), is considered the second of its kind to be discovered in the same area, about seven kilometers from the first discovery, which was announced in last May, and the rate of its initial production test 2300 barrels of crude oil per day, in addition to about 400 thousand cubic feet per day of associated gas.
During the meeting of Mr. al-Sisi with the members of the government, he called for the development of the oil sector in all its aspects, with a focus on the human resources, stressing on "the importance of raising the efficiency of employees and developing their skills and exploitation of the cadres and expertise available in this sector, and applying a modern system to manage human resources and provide a work environment with the help of international companies specialized in the field of rehabilitation and training, as well as transforming Egypt into a regional center for trading of oil and gas. "
Al-Sisi requested the adoption of all procedures that would provide an attractive environment for investments in the exploration activities, which will contribute to expanding the area of new exploration areas, confirming the need to achieve the optimal economic advantage of the potential and natural wealth possessed by Egypt and intensify the work to turn Egypt into a regional center for trading Gas and oil, which will contribute to advancing the comprehensive development process currently taking place in Egypt.
