  • 22 December 2022

The 28th session of the "Arab Economic Forum", jointly organized by the Union of Arab Chambers, the Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group, the Federation of Lebanese Chambers, and in cooperation with the League of Arab States, will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, in Beirut (Phenicia Intercontinental Hotel) under the auspices of and the presence of the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Najib Mikati.

This forum will address the prospects for the Lebanese economy after the agreement on the demarcation of the Lebanese maritime borders, and what could result from it in providing the appropriate environment for the exploration, extraction, and marketing of oil and gas and attracting the investments required to develop this sector and the supply chains associated with it. This constitutes a qualitative leap in Lebanon's climate, business and investment opportunities, and governance frameworks.

It is expected that these developments will reflect positively on the Lebanese - Arab and international economic relations and lead to pumping new investments in the productive sectors and contribute to the activation, development of services, the rebuilding, and restructuring of banks and companies in general.
