Being held for the first time in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) region, Expo 2020 Dubai is a global event, which takes place over six months from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.

Expo 2020 Dubai will provide an important platform for countries to educate the public about the progress made by humankind and, most importantly, foster collaboration between companies, academics, scientists and countries.

The Australian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will increase business opportunities for Australia, showcasing its cultural heritage and innovations. In this spirit, the symposium: “Australia at Expo 2020 Dubai” will highlight the key aspects of Australia’s participation, providing an overview of the planned activities and the business program across themes and major sectors.

The symposium will be held on April 20, 2021, at 3:00 pm Sydney time (9:00 am Dubai time).

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and Austrade representatives will provide information on how Australia is working with the Expo Organizing Committee, partner countries, companies and academia to develop the leading global Australian expertise that connects and mobilizes societies worldwide.

Presenters:

Mr Justin Mcgowan - Australia’s Commissioner-General for Expo 2020 Dubai

Ms Clare Clooney - Australian Pavilion Programming Manager

Mr Mounir Sankary - Austrade’s Trade Commissioner for Expo 2020 Dubai

The program will also include presentations and will provide an opportunity for questions and answers by the participants.
